About Simmons College
The Simmons College Mission is rooted in the purpose for which the College was founded and is shaped by the College's evolution since then. Simmons College was founded in 1899 as a College designed to educate women for fulfilling careers and useful, independent lives. Today, the College continues its tradition of excellence through a focus on liberal arts and sciences and professional education in its undergraduate programs for women, and its gradute professional and liberal arts programs for women and men.
